The 17th Conference of Heads of Arab Civil Defense Concluded in Marrakesh, Kingdom of Morocco, with the participation of heads and representative of Arab civil defense entities. Representatives of the League of Arab States, the International Civil Defence Organisation, The Global Project on Countering Terrorism in Middle East and North Africa, Arab Center for Prevention from Earthquakes Dangers and Other Natural Hazards, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences and the General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers' Council also participated in the event.

The delegation of the United Arab Emirates was represented by Brigadier Mohammed Abdullah Al Zaabi, Director of the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Ras Al Khaimah, and Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Al Takawi, Director of Media Affairs Department at the General Directorate of Civil Defense.

The conference came up with several recommendations aimed at enhancing cooperation and coordination between the Arab countries in the field of civil protection and rescue, the most important of which is the preparation of a draft agreement for cooperation among civil protection agencies in the Arab countries, and the circulation of the draft Arab agreement for cooperation in the field of search and rescue to the member states for study.
