Police Chiefs Council discusses crime risk management methodology

HE Lt.-Gen. Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, Chairman of the UAE's Police Chiefs Council, chaired the first meeting of the Police Chiefs Council at the state level for this year 2022.

The meeting was held virtually and was attended by police chiefs, senior officers and officials at the Ministry of Interior.

During the meeting, the Council discussed a number of important topics on its agenda and made decisions in relation to them. 


The Council also reviewed the risk assessment methodology as well as the precautions and measures taken by the chiefs of police to cut down the rate of crimes of concern, and major challenges they have encountered and overcome, as well as the rates of fatalities resulting from road accidents.


His Excellency the Chairman of the Council directed the development of studies and mechanisms to analyze the material and moral effects of the victims of some crimes such as theft, fraud and others, and to include them within the crime risk management


The Council also reviewed the service of inquiring about criminal cases in financial cases, and the most important means used in it, and a date was approved for launching this service, which will be carried out through a media campaign to market it as soon as possible, to be available to the public.

The Council discussed a number of negative phenomena committed by some communities, and His Excellency the President of the Council directed to hold joint meetings with the Ministry's partners to develop specific mechanisms through procedures to reduce and limit the rate of these negative phenomena.
