Share your opinion about AI applications to protect children from online exploitation crimes

Consultation Subject:

The Ministry of Interior invites the public to share their opinions on AI applications aimed at protecting children and combating the spread of child exploitation crimes online. The Ministry seeks to work with other relevant authorities in an attempt to prevent these crimes and detect and prosecute perpetrators.


The objective of consultation:

Through this advice, the Ministry of Interior seeks to identify the appropriate strategies aimed at ensuring the safety of our children and the use of technologies by law enforcement authorities.


Expected decisions as a result of consultation:

To develop a technological project that adopts AI technologies in strengthening and supporting the efforts made by law enforcement agencies to combat the spread of online child exploitation crimes.

Outcome

A strategic partnership between the Ministry of the Interior and the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Institute (UNICRI) to roll out a new technological project that adopts AI technologies ideally and in well planned manner to enhance and support the efforts made by law enforcement agencies to combat all forms of violence, exploitation and abuse of children as well as combating crime online sexual abuse of children.
